Menlo juniors Charlotte Tomkinson and Kyra Pretre finished second (2:09.41) and 10th (2:13.95) in the girls 800-meter final at the state meet at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. Tomkinson and Pretre became the first female teammates in Central Coast Section history to make the 800-meter final in the same year and only the fourth all-time in the state.
